What is UC Orientation?

University College Orientation is a week-long program that provides incoming University of Toronto students with transition support, engaging programming that complements the academic experience, and a sense of collegiality and community. Orientation aims to introduce first year students to university life. Upper year students, called Leaders, help facilitate the week, which is a combination of academic programming and exciting events that help first years meet other UC students and get acquainted with the City of Toronto. The program is organized by the University College Literary and Athletic Society (UC Lit) with support from University College.

Orientation will take place from August 31, 2026 to September 4, 2026—jumpstart your UofT experience!

The UC Lit provides many services, organizes a variety of events, and represents over 5000 University College students at UofT. UC Lit strives to represent and support fellow UC students and help them make the most of their university experience.
